Facilities And Resources
The primary resident clinics are located in the Department of Pediatric
Dentistry in the School of Dentistry and the new 6th floor of the Blair
E. Batson Children’s Hospital on the UMC Campus. This is a self-contained
seven-story pediatric health center providing comprehensive team-oriented
specialty for young children. The children’s hospital dental clinic
is a four operatory facility with full radiographic capabilities, state
of the art conscious sedation monitoring equipment, a dental laboratory,
and conference room. The seventh floor of the hospital has a suite of
seven operating rooms and an extensive recovery area. With a large population
base of dentally and medically compromised children, general anesthesia
cases are scheduled half-days per week.
