The University of Mississippi School of Dentistry offers dental postgraduate training programs in general dentistry and pediatric dentistry. These programs are designed to provide a superior level of clinical skill with an in-depth knowledge of the biological and clinical sciences applicable to the discipline. All advanced education programs begin July 1st of each academic year. See the specific program for application deadlines.

Some programs participate in the PASS application process and/or the Match candidate selection process. The American Dental Association Commission on Dental Accreditation accredits all of the advanced education programs at UMC. The Commission is a specialized accrediting body recognized by the Council on Postsecondary Accreditation and the United States Department of Education. Positions in the advanced education programs are limited and selection is competitive. All advanced education programs require that applicants be graduates of dental schools accredited by the American Dental Association Commission on Dental Accreditation.
