    Oral-Maxillofacial Surgery and Pathology is the dental specialty that focuses on the diagnosis, surgical and adjunctive treatment of diseases, injuries and defects involving the functional and esthetic aspects of hard and soft tissues of the oral-maxillofacial and facial regions. This includes a wide spectrum of problems and solutions including oral and facial infections, impacted teeth, dental implants, jaw and facial trauma, jaw under or over development, mouth and jaw cysts and tumors, cleft palates, jaw reconstruction, advanced forms of conscious sedation, and temporomandibular joint problems. The faculty provides educational training to students and other practitioners in these areas as well care for private patients.
